Low-Cost Dental Services for Kids
Yes, you heard me right! As part of National Children’s Dental Health Month, we would like to highlight the North Country Children’s Clinic. Did you know that the Children’s Clinic offers dental services at their Lowville, Ogdensburg, and Watertown locations?
Not only does the North Country Children’s Clinic offer great dental services close to home, they also accept many insurance plans, and for families without insurance, they offer a discount sliding fee. That means if you don’t have insurance, they will work with you to figure out a cost based on your household income.

3 Reasons to Protect Your Baby’s Teeth

- Mild Decay

Moderate Decay

Severe Decay
February is National Children’s Dental Health Month (NCDHM), sponsored by the American Dental Association (ADA). The purpose of this month is to raise awareness about the importance of oral health.
Decay occurs when sweetened liquids are given and are left on an infant’s teeth for long periods. Many sweet liquids cause problems, including milk, formula and fruit juice. According to the ADA, it’s not just what you put in your baby’s bottle that causes decay, but the frequency and duration (how often and how long). They suggest that you don’t give your baby a bottle of sweetened liquid often. Allowing your baby to fall asleep with a bottle during naps or at night can also harm their teeth.
